A worker suffered a spinal cord injury as
the result of a fall that occurred when he was working on a ladder at
a job site. Our claim was successfully prosecuted, based on the theory
that another worker, not his co-employee, improperly secured the ladder,
and this led to the fall and resultant paraplegia.
All construction site accidents should be thoroughly investigated to determine whether or not there is a contractor, subcontractor, or third party company, other than worker's compensation, against whom a claim can be made for damages. |
