Newly diagnosed cancer patients are often
shocked to realize that they must not only struggle to overcome this disease,
but must also struggle to obtain payment for needed treatments. Therapies
are frequently denied by HMO's, who cite exclusions, definitions, limitations,
experimental clauses, and unrealistic treatment guidelines to deny necessary
treatments. Patients must aggressively seek to overcome these denials
and to obtain payment for their treatment. |
